Hey Guys!

Hope you're all having a great start to the week(: There are only four more work days until Memorial Day weekend! Woohoo! I am super excited because Kyle just finished building the sleeping platform in his car. We will be taking car camping to the next level at one of my all time favorite spots, Red River Gorge! Friday can't come soon enough.

I wanted to jump on here and write about something I love to do in fashion: dress up casual clothes, and dress down fancy clothes with accessories! I have SO many flowing dresses in my closet, that when paired with some combat boots and a jean jacket, actually become acceptable to wear to the office.

This particular outfit consists of these wonderful sparkly boots, dressed down with a jeans skirt + tee combo. The tee is a super comfortable cropped turtle neck from Free People. I think cropping a tee is an awesome way to put a modern flare on the turtle neck. You can get this one here! The jean skirt is from Nordstrom. It was slightly distressed when I bought it, but I added a little bit to the pockets using my shaving razor. I'm going to do a blog post about distressing jeans soon, but for now, running a razor over the top of the pockets can help make the jeans look worn. You can get the skirt here!

As far as shoes go, I believe every gal needs a good pair of bedazzled shoes. I bought these when I worked at Free People a couple years ago, so unfortunately they are no longer online. I have linked a couple similar styles I love here, here and here!

To finish off the outfit, I am wearing a super comfy felt hat, some bracelets and turquoise rings. The bracelets are actually friendship bracelets I made in the early 2000s when they were super in style. I rocked them in middle school and I still rock them now. They are awesome, and if you have any sitting in storage, go get them! They are colorful, fun, and great for summer.

Thanks for reading, and cheers!
